  • Butt lift
    by Dr. Jung Young Choon
  • Q. How long does it take to return to daily activities after the procedure?

  • A. The time for returning to daily activities may vary depending on the individual's condition, but if you want to resume normal daily activities without major issues, it usually takes around 1 to 2 weeks.

  • Q. Can I lie down or sit immediately after a hip lift procedure?

  • A. Hip lift procedures involve lifting the muscle tissues with threads and filling volume with fat grafting or fillers.
Applying pressure on the buttocks after the surgery can cause deformities in the shape. Therefore, it is recommended to wait at least 7 to 10 days after the surgery before safely lying down.
If sitting for an extended period, it is advisable to stand up and move around intermittently.
In the immediate postoperative period, sitting may be uncomfortable, so using a soft cushion for support while sitting can be helpful

  • Q. How many threads are used in a hip lift procedure?

  • A. The number of threads used in a hip lift procedure varies depending on the size of the buttocks, the degree of tissue sagging, and the desired shape of the hip line.
It can range from around 10 threads to 50 or more. It is recommended to consult with the surgeon to determine the appropriate number for your case.

  • Q. Will there be scars after the hip lift procedure?

  • A. The procedure involves making very small incisions to insert the threads, resulting in small scars.
However, over time, the scars tend to fade and become less noticeable. The degree of visible scarring can vary individually and may also depend on the condition of the skin.

  • Q. What precautions should be taken after a hip lift procedure?

  • A. After the buttock surgery, the compression tape should not be removed until the next treatment session to extract the threads.
To reduce swelling and prevent inflammation, it is important to take the prescribed medication.
Alcohol and smoking should be avoided for a month after the surgery as they can have adverse effects on bleeding, infection, and wound healing. Strenuous exercise and dieting should be avoided for about two months. Instead, light stretching and walking can help reduce swelling.
